Haunted Nintendo Halloween party to be large production
. The name of the event this year is the Haunted Nintendo, which will feature a number of sets of video games and retro designs. Participants in the Haunted Nintendo are encouraged but not required, to wear Halloween costumes.At the event, six local students will be deejaying and work on the visuals projected for the audience. The five students from the University of Mississippi State is Trey Burke (aka Pants Phantom), Philip Vanderleest (aka GLOtron), Amy Bragg (aka Lady genes) and Jeff Bourque (aka VJ Cypress) and University of Mississippi for female student, Blaine Garrard (aka Geronimo).The DJs play a wide variety of genres, from indie dance, dubstep, electro house and nu disco.
Trey Burke, a graduate student in public administration and local deejay, said the event this year should be full of nostalgia and good times.
"We want everyone to show up in their favorite childhood," he said.
Burke said he expects to see many people dressed as Super Mario or Luigi, but hopes to see more off-the-wall costumes too.
