'Parks and Recreation' Star Adam Scott Sounds Off on Other Famous People
Actor Adam Scott compares his career to a frog in room temperature water. “If you put a frog in boiling water, it’s going to jump out,” he said last week. “But if you put it in room temperature water and slowly turn up the heat, it’s not really going to notice. Which is not to say, like, ‘Oh, it’s boiling now!’ Or, like, it’s really happening.” Consequently, perhaps, he’s the rare actor with perspective on other famous people that civilians can relate to.
In honor of the new "Parks & Recreation" season, we went to buy souvenirs on Canal Street with Scott last week. Herewith, some of his thoughts on other celebrities, Barack Obama said while browsing the cups and "I Heart NY" t-shirts:
Andrew Garfield: "I like the movies Spider-man, and I think it's such a good choice. It is really cool."
Disney: "They want all quadrants of lovers princess. It's weird! My wife and I were determined not to have my daughter into pink and princesses, but somehow he got it. Disney found her and drew her in. She loves Tinker Bell. There was nothing we could do. They got her, and now she loves that shit. It bothers me a lot less than I thought it would before I had kids. Now, when they’re happy about something, it’s just nice. I don’t think a Disney princess bag is going to damage her personality. It’s weird how they’ve taken Tinker Bell out of “Peter Pan,” though, and created a whole franchise out of that one character. I’m not even sure kids know the origin story anymore.
