Community Aids Chelsea Community Hospital's Electronic Medical Record ...
In an effort to streamline the processing of patients, Chelsea Community Hospital has added $ 12 million of electronic medical records in their arsenal.
The system came earlier this summer and eliminates the use of paper medical records, avoiding transcription errors, eliminates the need to decipher the writing and helps reduce the waiting time for test results.
Jennifer Berry, director of marketing for the hospital said the hospital's efforts to implement the new Genesis software has been a community project.
Each hospital that implements Genesis through "go-live a period of two weeks, during which many support staff out of town come to assist in the transition. To celebrate the event, hospitals generally select a theme to be used in the implementation, which is achieved through decoration, printed pieces and welcome packages given to visiting support staff, Berry said.
